It's not the same as knowing how to handle myself if someone tried to hit me or someone else? I guess I'd like to not feel as helpless?

It is possible to learn magic here, even without a natural ability or capacity. One must practice and train to become proficient, however. For this quest, hand-to-hand combat shall work upon the same principle.

This one cannot make you an instant master. That would not teach you to value the skill itself, besides. Such prowess must be earned. Do you understand?

Share a piece with each person you wish to protect with your own hands. Tell them why they are worth being defended from harm, and why you want to be someone who can keep them safe. Be honest.
